I was into this cool band called The Black Dog a billion years ago...then they just disappeared from sound for ages and ages. Imagine my glee the day I discovered Plaid (around 2000) and snatched up their back catalog (Not for Threes is about my favorite, but I love them all)...Plaid was 2/3 of The Black Dog way, way back when. Check out The Black Dog, too. ALSO, check out the DVD of "Greedy Baby"...one of the coolest things I have ever experienced in surround sound hallucinogenic quality...it's fanfuckingtastic to behold...art on several levels, seemlessly entertwined. As for this track sounding Plaid....yeah, but that bass would never fly. Try softening the edge of it and varying the velocity of the notes (at least). Pretty stuff, otherwise. Peace.

It was just two guys sitting behind Macs. Ugh!" She took me to my first concert (The Scorpions w/ Jon Bon Jovi opening) all those years ago, but my answer to her words has always been and shall remain: "Fucking bitch. There is no justice, sometimes." I hardly ever go to concerts anymore (Puppy on the 24th!), but Plaid is SO on The List. I wish Orbital still toured. may hafta go see Long Range. /sigh

The power cut out midway through Orbital's set, but somehow, they got all their NASA computing gear rebooted in 5 minutes or less and have everything slamming and sweating just minutes later. Yow!

James is still on my list of to sees, but the two Orbital shows I caught in SF stand proud amongst the hundreds of other bands I have seen live...the enrgy they can get flowing through a crowd is...is....scintillating. That's the best I can say it. You know. ;) Peace.

thanks guys !
Thanks very much for your comments ! Yes, I know plaid and like them very much. I was about to hear them in 2005 but the show was cancelled 'cause of personnel concern. here are some of my favorite bands : plaid, boards of canada, kelpe, depth affect (from Nantes, my town ! http://www.myspace.com/depthaffect ; very very good !), modeselektor, leonard de leonard, apparat, Ellen allien, coldcut, and weirder things, like jackson and his computer band, satanicpornocultshop etc... thanks, canton, for this contest, it's very interesting to practice, confront and discover new music. sorry for my poor english (long life to google language tools !) Fabien
